2020-2021 Re-Opening Plan

As of 8/18/2020, the original three options (for returning to school) have not changed. NHS families will still have three choices for the type of instruction their child will receive at NHS:
1.) 100% Face-to-Face instruction
2.) 100% virtual/remote/online instruction
3.) Blended/Mixed/Hybrid model (parents decide which days their child comes to NHS, and which days they stay home).

The file below contains our official re-opening plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Our plan is divided into two components: 1.) Health and Safety Protocols, and 2.) Instructional Plan Protocols. We ask that all parents/guardians review the plan over the next few days. We will discuss the plan in a virtual informational meeting for families on Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 @ 7:00 p.m. (this meeting will take the place of the virtual meeting that was originally scheduled for August 12th).
We anticipate that there are going to be numerous questions and concerns regarding this plan. If you should have any questions/concerns after reviewing this plan, then we are requesting that you email them to Mr. Dave Rodgers, the Assistant Supervisor of Special Education at New Horizon School (E-Mail David Rodgers) Mr. Rodgers will compile a list of all questions, provide responses to each question, and then publish this list for all stakeholders to view. If you would like your questions/concerns addressed during the virtual meeting, then they must be submitted to Mr. Rodgers by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th.
The virtual meeting on Wednesday, July 29th will be held via Microsoft Teams. If you would like to attend the meeting, then you will need to email Mr. Rodgers and request the link. Please provide your name and your child's name in the email. Once we receive your email requesting admission to the meeting, we will then send you the link.
Again, you will need the Teams link to attend the virtual meeting. Please do not forget to email all questions/concerns regarding our re-opening plan to Mr. Dave Rodgers (E-Mail David Rodgers) by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28th, 2020.
