hey everyone I'm Chris McCabe the supervisor at New Horizon School so let's talk about let's just get it out there can't believe summer is over it's crazy how fast it went I hope that everybody had a rest and relaxing summer recharged and just regular to take your mind off you know school for a little bit which is it's not a bad thing just to rest the brain so I hope everyone is ready though for the upcoming School I know we are our front office staff and our maintenance team has been working their tails off this summer to get the school ready to make sure all the Ducks are in a row so we're looking forward to it our staff is returning this week we got a bunch of days plan for in-service days lots of meetings and just you know some activities and stuff for the staff to get their minds and bodies back into school mode and I hope the kids are ready for their return remember the kids are coming on Monday August 29th if you hadn't heard from you have not from your bus company yet please reach out to school district for the bus company you stick that at some point already by about the pickup and drop-off time for your child but if you haven't again contact your Local School District bus company that specific information all right so I'm going to be sending several videos your way this week I'm just kind of going over some of the more the protocols and policies we have a place that we seem to be addressing students more often than not so what I could use is your help moms and dads and Guardians Grandma's Grandpa's out there helping relaying this message to the kids so we are a united front so the first one we're going to talk about is the dress code so I really have a dress code as far as your uniforms and things like that but there are some things that are prohibited in their school I'm the t-shirts seem to kind of get a little more creative now with the wording on them so we're asking any kind of clothing that has suggestive kind of wording on it that means far as drugs or alcohol or things of a sexual nature can we please keep that at home we don't want anyway. Sometimes they are conversation starter and all other times they just lead to some more eight everything sub if we can leave that apparel at home that be great another thing that slowly kind of took on a life of its own is the head of care what people are wearing on their heads and I think you how about a lot to do this with the mass and the mass were getting more creative than what they're doing to cover their faces or their ads but for this school year coming up for asking that nobody wears hats in the school nobody wears head wraps ski mask that stuff bandanas hoodies now they cannot keep their hoodie on during the school day they can wear that stuff to school but when they walk through the doors they have to remove it and we're asking for parents to relay this message your kids because if they if they refuse to comply then we're going to have to call for Mom or Dad to come to school and address it with us because it's not worth the battle with them but they have to understand that this is where we stand with this Macy's far as what it were a lot with the kids are allowed to wear in school and what they're not so again no hoodies had wraps bandana ski mask. Like that we cannot have that in our building this year so not going to dive too deep into that is pretty straightforward cars what is expected in what's what's not permitted so again moms and dads help us out with this okay so that's it for the first week I'll send you some more we got some more stuff to talk about we have some cellphone policies to discuss we have new entrance for use for visitor or for visitors no longer going through door number 36 we'll get into that another video to but just wanted to briefly touch upon the dress code and that's it and stay tuned to be more videos coming your way all right
