Families of New Horizon School:

Since March of 2020, our entire world has been overshadowed by a considerable amount of unpredictability and instability, particularly in our schools.   If anything was constant during these challenging times, then it was the resiliency and resolve of the students and staff at New Horizon School.  Despite all of the hurdles that may still lie ahead of us, I am filled with optimism regarding the upcoming school year.  The beginning of a new school year brings change, hope, and a renewal of our tenacity in making your child’s educational experience second to none.

For those of you reading this who are newer members of our New Horizon family, I want to thank you for taking a leap of faith in allowing us to help your child grow as an individual.  To the more senior members of our New Horizon family, please know that your unwavering trust in our school is not overlooked- it is something that we continue to be so very grateful for.

Our formula for success here at New Horizon is simple yet thorough:  Teamwork.  For a child or young adult to reach their potential, they need to be surrounded by a solid network of individuals all working together with a common goal.  Although I may be a little biased, I can honestly say that you will not find a more dedicated and compassionate staff in any school.

Your role on this team is equally as important as the role of our staff.  Knowing this, I simply ask that you make every effort to attend your child’s annual IEP meeting.  In addition, I highly encourage you to join our incredible PTO and attend their regular meetings- doing so will help you stay current with the social and fundraising activities that our PTO coordinates throughout the school year.

Our school is beginning to buzz with enthusiasm for the upcoming school year.  It is important to remember that, as always, our staff will work tirelessly to provide the most appropriate, effective, and safe educational experience for your child.   Please do not ever hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s education at New Horizon School.

Regards,
